Who We Are

LDS Family Services is operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As such, we follow Church welfare principles.

Current Services Offered by LDS Family Services

We offer consultation for adoptive couples referred by their bishops. We also offer screening and registration for a site LDS Family Services staff use when working with single expectant parents who are creating an adoption plan for their child.

Community Services

Adoptive couples may seek the following services from community resources:

  • Pre-adoption education
  • Adoption home study
  • Placement services
  • Post-placement services
  • Legal services

If needed, LDS Family Services can consult with you to find a community service provider in your area.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to include your profile on the LDS Family Services site (managed by adoption.com/lds), you must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently live in the United States of America.
  • Have an endorsement from your bishop or branch president.
  • Be sealed in the temple.
  • Maintain current temple recommends.
  • Have a current adoption home study.

Once you meet the screening criteria, you will be able to publish your profile on the adoption.com/lds site at no cost.
